Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., named Tyler Bates vice president of booking. Bates was director of programming at Ambassador Theatre Group, as well as general manager of Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, N.Y. Stacey Levine Ostro was named general manager of The Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles. Ostro had been general manager of the Hollywood Palladium since 2013. Sacha Tani has been appointed to the newly created position of private event sales manager at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The position arose from the historic stadium’s $315 million renovation, which included luxury suites and new event spaces in the venue’s Scholarship Tower. Tani was most recently with Universal Studios Hollywood. Centerplate named Gregory Pittman executive chef at the Baltimore Convention Center. Centerplate Names New Chef in Baltimore

TASTE OF CHARM CITY: Gregory Pittman will oversee food and beverage at the Baltimore Convention Center. (Courtesy Centerplate) Gregory Pittman new executive chef for convention center Centerplate recently announced Gregory Pittman as the executive chef at the Baltimore Convention Center. Pittman comes from Chicago, where he spent three years. While there he oversaw two university food and beverage programs where he led teams of 40-75 employees, and he has more than 10 years of experience leading culinary teams as an executive chef. Pittman is originally from Memphis, Tenn., where he worked with family-owned restaurants from the age of 7. He has an associate’s degree in culinary arts from LeCole Culinaire in Memphis. Centerplate has had the Baltimore Convention Center account since 2009. The complex has 300,000 square feet of exhibition space and 85,000 square feet of meeting space and plays host to more than 140 events a year.

Since August 2018, the live entertainment and sports events are handled by the newly formed D.Live, which Brill oversees as CEO. D.Live operates Merkur Spiel-Arena (54,000 capacity), ISS Dome (13,000), Mitsubishi Electric Halle (7,500), Castello Düsseldorf (3,000)and the Alltours open air cinema. Live Nation To Be Mann Center’s Exclusive Booker

(Courtesy Live Nation Philadelphia) Multiyear deal will help bring improvements to open-air Philly PAC Live Nation will book shows at Philadelphia’s nonprofit Mann Center for the Performing Arts as part of an exclusive multiyear partnership announced Monday. The length of the deal was not announced, but it comes with options for extensions and takes effect immediately for the Mann’s summer 2020 season. As part of the agreement, the Mann and Live Nation will create new concession choices and enhanced VIP options to enhance the guest experience at the open-air venue.
