The two days of WrestleMania are always the biggest weekend in pro wrestling. The 39th edition of WWE’s signature event generated plenty of noise (and plenty of revenue) but the headlines stretched out of the weekend and into Monday and out of the blogs and in to the business section. Bleary-eyed aficionados of the American art of exaggeration and savage beauty woke Monday to news WWE would merge with UFC parent company Endeavor group to form a new. as-yet-unnamed parent company valued at more than $21 billion, with more than $9 billion coming from WWE. WWE shareholders will hold 49 percent of shares in the new company.
